Its current company Director Stephen Monaghan founded M-tranz (UK & Ireland) in early 2009. Being a relatively new company meant that the company had many fresh and new ideas towards the way Abnormal and Oversized Loads should be transported in the UK, Ireland and Europe.

This fresh approach to running the business has allowed the company to push successfully into the future and develop many of the UK, Irelands and Europe’s most highly respected Abnormal load Hauliers as customers.

Stephen has worked with Abnormal Loads for many years but it was only in late 2008, early 2009 that he spotted a niche in the Irish market for someone to supply Irish hauliers with a reliable, local and friendly service to obtain abnormal load authorisations for the UK for the movements of their heavy plant and machinery.

He spent the next number of months refining his system of notifying the relevant authorities and building up good working relationships with all council, highways Agencies and Police Force Abnormal load contacts.

As customer numbers grew so did the amount of abnormal load permit applications and requests resulting in the purchasing of the first pilot car / escort vehicle in September 2009.

Since then the company has moved into supplying customers with wide load, high load. Long load and heavy load permits for all European countries, and has even supplied permits for countries such as Turkey, Russia, Iraq and Syria.

With a tightly knitted together group of contacts in nearly every country in the world getting the client the answers they need is always possible.

Company growth over the last number of years has meant considerable investments in equipment.

M-tranz operates 2 fully equipped legally compliant pilot cars in Ireland and 2 in the UK, so all UK and Irish ports are covered by our services, 24/7, 365 days a year.

Our friendly approach to customer service and our “Can Do” attitude has seen our customer base increase ten fold every year since our establishment in Early 2009.

Our aim is to continue to invest in the best equipment possible, offer the most efficient and friendly service possible, and continue to expand our horizons to offer the best customer service possible.
